No Raining on This Parade!

You know the kind of day when it's cold, dark and pouring rain outside? When it's so dark out that you have to turn the lights on inside at 9:00 AM? That's the kind of day we woke up to in Charlotte this morning and I'm not ashamed to admit that they're some of my favorite kind of days! I called up Hannah, Suzanne and Kristie and told them to bring the girls over for a playdate/mom talk time! They braved the weather and came on over. I put on a pot of coffee and made some oatmeal raisin chocolate chip cookies (I made them as healthy as I could!!). Something about cold rainy days makes me want cookies and coffee! We had a great time and the girls enjoyed playing with each other.

Sweet AnnaPreston enjoyed the toy collection. Check out those baby blues!!

Little Norah with Sarah laying in front of her. Suzanne is in the background checking out the latest sale at Babies and Children! Wooo! She looks pretty intent on finding a bargain!

Caroline couldn't wait for her little friends to come over. She kept bringing them new "baby toys" to play with. Here are the girls in a room full of toys!

Crack is wack, Caroline! This picture doesn't do it justice. Caroline + Jeans = major crack issues. I can never keep the things on her!

"Hell--oo, Ladies!" Roy Austin woke up from his morning siesta just in time to share lunch with the ladies and do a little flirting and showing off in his Bumbo. Hmmmmm....which one should he go for? Norah, Sarah or AP?

FTC!!! Wow...this is a record!! Looks like you enjoyed your rainy day. I went back to sleep after the children left for school and then took a leisurely trip to the grocery store. Hannah, AP's eyes are beautiful. She is her daddy's little girl, isn't she? Both you and Suzanne have beautiful children.

So glad you all had a nice morning together. You always did like dreary rainy days, Donna....even when you were a little girl. You loved to cozy up with a book and enjoy your time reading. All the babies are so beautiful! I'm really glad for you all!

Girl, do we have karma or what? Max and I made oatmeal chocolate chip cookies this morning too - not as healthy as yours! (in fact, you'll see a post with pics from our baking soon:) It was literally thundering and lightning this morning at 7:30 am and I was in heaven. Love it!

Second, LOVE the pic of Roy boy! Love the caption too.

The storms are heading this way. We have tornado warnings out. If you don't hear from me again......

Be safe Denise! Do you have a cellar you can run and hide in? hahaha, I'm just picturing The Wizard of Oz. It's supposed to be highs in the 30's here tomorrow. YIKES!

Donna, looks like you girls had a fun day. wish I could have been there with you. I'm sure the conversation was fun and the chocolate chip cookies? YUMMY! great way to make use of a dreary day.

Okay, I'm back. No tornados! Those weather men!

Anyway, Donna, as I went to bed last night I was thinking of Carol's pix of her crack. I was laughing. I was so frustrated because I couldn't remember the "crack is wack" phrase! Funny! I was still thinking of it at 5:20 this morn when I got up to fee Marg's. Now I know that crack is wack.

It got sunny around noon. Today is another cold one.
Denise, the phrase "Crack is wack" came from Whitney Houston. Remember?

Donna, good post! Sounds like you all had a great time! I laughed at poor Caroline! To actually get to wear JEANS and then for her mom to take a picture of her crack and post it worldwide on her blog....Poor baby! Since this is an ongoing problem, you might check out the duct tape picture on my blog. It might help. Lol!

Denise, so glad you didn't blow away in the torrential weather. I was wondering if we needed to send the Coast Guard out to see if you were floating in the gulf on an inner tube. Ha! I hate tornadic weather. We have it ALL THE TIME in Texas.

Why was the above comment deleted? Was one of you using profanity????

Donna said...

No, it wasn't profanity being use. My sister was being what she thought was funny. I, however, did not:) Dolly, no talking.

Donna, MAN, no fair! Don't worry, Dolly. I've been deleted too...first by Denise. Then, Donna. Kinda hurts, doesn't it?!?! LOL.

Donna, we had fun! Cute pics!
