Today our church had a nice festival to celebrate our new expansion. We recently added on a lot of new space to the main building, including a great pre-school and nursery wing. So they had a community outreach day planned with fun rides, a petting zoo, free food and tours of the new building.
It was SO incredibly hot outside today, especially since all the activities took place in the parking lot with the sun beating down on the hot asphalt. Caroline had a blast, though, and loved the train ride the best. We went to look at the new pre-school hall and she got to show her daddy her classroom for school. We found her cubby with her name and she was so happy! It was cute.
I am so excited about the pre-school area because it is very kid-friendly with fun centers and colorful murals and--best of all-- they have a nursing room for new moms! I know, I know--It doesn't take much to make me happy. Caroline loves the sitting area with the bugs you can ride and the cute little toilets in the classrooms. They are tiny and she thinks they are so neat! When she saw them yesterday at her school, her eyes lit up and she instantly wanted to go potty.
Everyone at Carmel really did a great job getting the building ready. It is a great new addition to the church and one that will be used greatly. Here are some pictures from our day:

...until Roy turned the pony's head around and it looked her in the eye. It freaked her out!
Notice the cute golf cart rockers in the background! Maybe Santa can bring this for Roy Austin next Christmas!

I didn't realize Carmel was done with their wing. You're going to LOVE getting use out of that! I just realized that Carol is now going to school at your former workplace from before she was born. It's all coming full circle, huh?!?!
yes, it is! I wish they would have had that nice building when I worked there. It is weird being on the other end of the pre-school thing.
I miss Carmel! Just kidding. Looks like you all had a great time. Caroline looks bigger and bigger every time I see her picture. Can't you put her in a box so she doesn't grow anymore?
I miss all of you so much! Thanks for sharing the day to day happenings of your life with us. As long as we can't live near one another, we can still see pictures and know what you're doing. Can't believe Miss Caroline is going to school already. Keep the stories and pictures coming.
Donna, do you know where they got those golf cart rockers? I would love one for the baby's room! So cute!
I knew Brian would like it, Amy. The coordinator of our preschool got them at a store called Dazzle in Charlotte. I've seen them before in catalogs,though, too. Try Ebay, too.
Okay, thanks! I showed it to Brian last night and he hopped on the internet searching for them. It's so cute!
Okay, that is truly a "Charlotte" shin dig. Ya don't find nice stuff like dat here in Gator land.
