There's No Place Like Home!

Last Friday, we headed up to Virginia to attend our cousin, Maddie's, big debut as Glinda the Good Witch in the Wizard of Oz.  She did such a good job and left us speechless with how good she can act and sing!  Afterwards, we were able to go see her and these two couldn't wait...although they look a little nervous:
They got to meet the Wicked Witch, too--they were really nervous!
And when we went outside and RoyBoy saw the flying monkey, he wanted to go see him.  This guy was in character the whole time and made me laugh.  He was hopping from wall to wall and finally stopped to pose with Roy Austin:

We also made the Virginia trip for a certain little sweetheart's first birthday party:
Eleanore Ruth turned one last week, so it was nice to be able to celebrate this milestone with her family.  Charlotte and the birthday girl got a little bath in together, too, just like me and Eleanore's mom grew up doing (only I was always the one in the back getting the cold water):
 Eleanore and her proud Daddy:
Dolly had everything decorated so nicely.  She had a "sugar and spice" theme to the party with sweet foods and spicy foods!

The Seckmans!

These boys couldn't wait to see each other and it only took a few hours to get into mischief on Saturday morning before Auntie Dawnie had to come to the rescue and take them to the park.  They turned on the water in Dolly's potting shed and came out soaking wet.  AGHHHH!
Charlotte loved being able to explore all over Dolly's house.  She has accomplished climbing stairs and I have finally been able to relax with her coming down the steps, so she spent a lot of time conquering the stairs and then taking breaks to hold her lambie:)

It was a great start to our Summer 2012 Break!

Dolly's party for sweet Eleanore was so nice! Practically perfect in every way!

Donna is was SO good to see you this past weekend. Thanks for coming up--I know it is not easy traveling with little ones.

I found a brown bow in Harry Jacks room this morning. It is Carol's. I will send it to you.

I always laugh when all the comments are Jenuis, Denise and Dolly. We are your biggest blog fans! Love the look on Caroline and RA's face in the pic with Maddie. Michael was the same way...awestruck!

Thank you so much for coming to stay with me and help with the party. You really helped more than you know. Oh, and you left RA's "fast shoes" and Caroline's crocs here. I will send them to you with Denise's bow.
