Ice Cream Cone Cake Pops!

I recently saw Tori Spelling on some morning talk show and she was talking about cake pop ice cream cones she makes with her kids.  I thought I'd try it as a special treat today for my cake-pop-loving kids and it was a hit!  I will definitely make these throughout the summer for them.

All you do is take any cake mix and make a 9x13 cake out of it.  Once it cools crumble the cake into a big mixing bowl.  Take any kind of icing in a can and mix about half of it with the crumbled up cake.  It will turn into a dough consistency.  Take any kind of ice cream cone (I used cake cones) and with a spoon, spackle it in.  Let it sit in the freezer until frozen ( I waited about 2 hours, but more would have been better...probably overnight).  When you take them out of the freezer, frost with a little more frosting.  You could also make the dough into balls and just freeze those and then plop them into a cone to frost.

I'm not a big cake pop fan.  They're too rich tasting for my taste buds, but my kids love cake pops and they definitely liked these:

I mean, REALLY liked them...

Those sound too sweet for my buds but looks like your kiddos loved them. I'm also impressed with Tore's craftiness.
