Nibble, Nibble, Like a Mouse....

On Sunday night, Roy took our older two out Christmas shopping. Charlotte and I stayed home and I enjoyed my nice, quiet house. So, I was on the computer--probably checking the latest deals of Hip2Save or looking at FB--and I looked over to see my sweet girl lounging out in this little chair by the Christmas tree. She was so proud that she was able to climb in it all by herself. She was making me laugh because she was just laying back in it with no care in the world: (Pardon the graininess of this picture. I took it with my cool Razor phone:) I cannot find my camera battery charger ANYWHERE!!!):

So, back to my computer I went, because I'm such a good and focused mother. A few minutes later, I noticed that Charlotte was grunting and sucking on something. I walked over and noticed that she was sucking on an ornament. This ornament:

This ornament is a mini-wreath made of red berries and other kind of wreath-y materials. She was going to town just sucking away. I looked a little closer and noticed her face. Her nose, mouth, chin and cheeks were covered in red stickiness from the berries:

Again, thanks to the quality of my fine Razor, this picture does not do it justice, but she was a proud girl with her red face. And, like any concerned mother, I took the ornament and sucked on it for a second to see what the taste was like. It was just like you'd expect: artificial wreath taste, which I guess is appealing to 14 month old taste buds. I'm laughing at this picture because my sweet girl looks like a little rag-a-muffin. My sister, Denise, and I were laughing the other day, because she said her youngest, Jane, is always disheveled looking no matter how much she tries to keep her looking clean and put together. I think it must be a youngest child thing because this is how I ALWAYS looked as a child. I think Charlotte may be "that girl", too:)

That is funny! When I read the title of this post, I thought you were gonna say, RA2 was eating the ginger bread house.

I cannot believe Queenie is sitting in that little chair all by herself. SHE IS GETTING SO BIG! Bless her little disheveled heart!

We cannot wait until next week!! Yippppeeeee!

Donna, she is getting SO BIG! I love that picture of her. I'm laughing that you sucked on that ornament to see how it tasted. She looks more and more like you when you were a little girl. Love your tree too by the way. It's HUGE!!!

She really does look like you as a little girl, but you know who else that picture makes her look like? Laurel Olsen as a little girl!! The resemblance is definitely there....and I think that pic makes her look like me as a toddler, as well. She DOES have some Olsen/Reber in her.

I would have never thought to suck on the ornament to see what it taste like......what a riot! Charlotte is so cute....I love the pictures. She is so cute. I wonder what she was thinking while stretched back in that chair? Adorable....find your charger. I wish the pictures were clearer. I am old and my eyes are so great any more.
