Last April at Caroline's birthday dinner, I asked Roy Austin what kind of cake he thought he wanted for his next birthday. He instantly said a guitar cake...and he wanted it to be red and brown--his favorite colors. We laughed because we didn't understand why he picked a guitar and I figured the theme would change a few times before October. Nope! All summer long he talked about his guitar cake and how it was going to be red and brown. The only change was he wanted the strings to be white. Thank you, Lord, that Michael's sold a guitar cake pan! So, he got what he wanted....a red and brown guitar cake with white strings!

The birthday boy waiting for his party to get started:

RoyBoy's face looks just like a picture I have of Roy when he was little at one of his birthday parties! So cute!

Here he is listening intensely to Caroline tell him what she loves about him. We had to make him sit still and look us in our eyes while we told him why we loved him. He was ready for presents! I think one of the things that Caroline loved about him was that he loves Cheetos:

Present time! I think all of his gifts were opened within 1 minute!

This was his favorite--more GeoTrax! I got this train set at a consignment sale back in September and it was basically brand new, in the box. He has a bunch of the sets that match it and they can be expensive so I was happy! He played with this thing all night and couldn't wait to play with it again first thing this morning:

Cool Cake Donna. It looks just like you had it professionally made! Really! It does! I bet it was yummy too and right now I wish I could eat a piece.
That's so funny that Roy Austin had his heart set on a guitar cake. You did a great job making it too! I'm also glad you snatched that toy at the consignment sale. It looks like it was a hit! Glad he had a nice bday
Happy birthday RA! That cake looks so good Donna. You always have great cakes and decorations for your kids birthdays! Your a good momma.
I was catching up on all your past posts. Colton reminds me so much of RA and I need you to have a mentoring session with me the next time you are in town.
