At the age of four, Roy Austin loves to make tracks for his trains, play with his cars, ride his bike. He likes to talk about the Haunted House at Carowinds but refuses to go in it, he loves a good amusement park and talks passionately about them! He loves to smile and his laugh is contagious.
He loves his blue blankie and his "Ellie" the blue elephant. He adores his sisters, but also enjoys tormenting them...
This boy loves to stay in his pajamas all day. Some days when we get home from school, he'll ask me if we are going anywhere the rest of the day. If the answer is "no", he'll rush upstairs to get in his pj's! He also is becoming interested in spelling. He always wants to know how certain words are spelled and he's proud when he thinks he spelled it correctly. This is the latest conversation that happens a few times a week: RA: I know how to spell pee pee...P P! (followed by a proud and mischievous grin).
Which brings me to another favorite of my funny boy...potty talk. He LOVES it. Nothing gets him like potty talk. He thinks the words poopoo, peepee, panties, and underwear are absolutely hilarious. Something tells me we'll never get out of this stage!
It's no secret that Roy Austin has kept me on my toes since he learned to walk. Every day is a true adventure with him and there have been too many adventures in the last four years to count!! Even though he can bring me to tears most days and cause me to question my mothering, I know that God handpicked this little boy just for me and his Daddy. He is ours and he is a blessing. I absolutely cannot wait to see what he does with his life! Happy Birthday to our little boy...our Roy Austin!

yeah! First to comment! Happy Birthday Roy Austin! Love this post and love that little boy. Someone else in our family is obsessed with this little boy too. He thinks Roy Austin in the funniest kid around! Probably because of the "potty talk" but regardless, it's nice they will be good friends/cousins growing up. A HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our Roy boy. Your life with him has certainly been an adventure...he keeps you on your toes....and your knees! What a boy! I'm so glad he's part of our family. I love that boy!!
