Never Too Young for Homework

Believe it or not, Roy Austin's preschool class has a project due tomorrow. I kind of laughed when I got the assignment in his folder--he's not even four yet. He had to pick his favorite book and then make the lead character out of an artificial pumpkin. I thought for sure he'd want to pick Brown Bear, Brown Bear or Corduroy. When his big sister, who can be bossy at times, found out about the project she coaxed him into picking Chicken Little.

We have never seen this movie. I bought a Chicken Little baseball book at a consignment sale for him and I guess he likes it? I think we've read it a time or two, but it's definitely not a favorite book of his! But once his big sister picked it, he was set on it. If it's cool for her, it must be really cool. I have to admit, now that they make white pumpkins, this guy was pretty easy to create.

So tomorrow our almost-four-year old will carry Chicken Little proudly to preschool and do his presentation. Still laughing that he had a project due:)

Really cute.....I think we were talking about those kind of projects when we were down there for Charlotte's birthday! I hate "parent" projects!
Good idea Caroline.....really cute!
