First up....
1. Seriously. Let's say it all together....SO WHAT. WHO CARES?! Is this cover supposed to make me feel bad for her?

2. Jessica Simpson is engaged. I'm so happy for her (sarcasm). I'll admit, I was very sad when she and Nick got divorced. I really liked them together. But after many public dating relationships with singers and athletes, I hope she gets some major marriage counseling on this one. She's known him for 6 months (red flag) and has announced the news 2 weeks after Nick's engagement (red flag). Oooo, and she was quoted as saying something along the lines of "he's the one for me right now) (ouch. RED FLAG!!!!!!!!!!!!!).
3. And today the breaking news was that Eva Longoria is divorcing her husband of 3 years, Tony Parker (a basketball player). This is what I don't get. According to AOL News, yesterday this "rumor" was adamantly denied by her publicist and then today, she "breaks" the news? I think it's funny when people on TV discuss situations like this and say, "I was rooting for them" or "they were the couple that everyone thought would make it". Huh?
4. Two of the Gosselin kids were expelled from school for bullying. Hmmmm. Who is their mom again? Has anyone seen the footage from past seasons of Jon and Kate +8? She totally bullies Jon in every episode. Kate: PLEASE take your kids and yourself out of the limelight. Nobody cares! I'm afraid that this is not the last we will hear about the Gosselin kids. Think about the "Where Are They Now?" articles 10-15 years from now.
5. So many of the (liberal) TV talking heads are just outraged that Bristol Palin is in the final on Dancing With the Stars. All of a sudden, they care about the show and who should be in the final? I have to say that although I wouldn't call Bristol a star, she really is trying her hardest and doing her best. And who cares if Republicans are voting for her!!! It's not a conspiracy. If Chelsea Clinton was on the show, Bill and Hillary's supporters would keep her on. Every vote counts---isn't that what they always say during election time?
6. Okay, and one final celebrity news that I kind of enjoy is Prince William's engagement. I had to laugh, though, when yesterday morning, it was BREAKING NEWS of Good Morning America and it's been the main story two mornings in a row. I really am rooting for them. He seems like a nice guy and a lot like his mom. And Kate? She's GORGEOUS!!! I hope she's a good girl. I just think it is so cool how she probably grew up looking up to Princess Diana and wanting to be just like her and now she's wearing that sapphire ring on her finger. How cool! I'm going to get tired of hearing and reading who's making her dress, what her duties will be, what kind of flowers they'll have, etc but when that wedding day comes, I'll have my alarm clock set to watch with a cup of hot tea to celebrate! And I'm going to drag Roy down the stairs with me. He'd never admit it, but he loves some good celebrity gossip:)

I can just hear Joy Behar saying that now---or actually I can hear the guy on SNL saying it as he portrays her in a skit.
Gooood post Donna! Funny too. I agree with what you said and seriously WHO CARES!
The part about the Jon and Kate's kiddos I didn't know about. Very sad!
And YES, Williams Kate is very pretty!
Donna is on a roll tonight!!!! HA! OK, the Kardashians just drive me crazy. They are so sleezy and foul-mouthed. I think Kris Jenner is such a horrible mother. What mother would be talking her daughter into posing for Playboy? The Simpsons are another family. I have friends who go to the church where JOe Simpson used to be a youth pastor. It is a large, solid church. He has a lot to answer for one day. I hope she finds peace and happiness in marriage and with God. Kate G makes me sick. I am SOOOO tired of looking at her legs and boobs hanging out everywhere. On every show, she has on something short and low. She is so proud of her new body. It is so sad to think about the long-term effects on her kids. I would have issues if she was my mother. I also LOVE a royal love story. I hope they really are happy and I think she is gorgeous and I love her taste in clothes.
Woo doggy. You are letting it all out. So funny, but so true. I agree with everything you said.
The funniest part is the last line about Roy secretly loving celebrity gossip. That is SO MARK! He would NEVER admit it and he gives me such a hard time when I buy magazines or watch E. But then i catch him reading the magazines and somehow knowing what is going on with everyone. Too funny.
Oh dear......Who cares? Not me but evidently lots of people do! You crack me up....
I totally agree with everything you said. Don't really know that much about the Kardashians, but who cares, anyway. And just this morning I was thinking to myself about Jessica Simpson's father. I wonder how many of the youth from his church were influenced negatively because of him and how he let his two daughters become the worldly entertainers they are today. He really will have a lot to answer for some day, I think.
Good post, Donna. I really enjoyed reading it!
Just catching up with you...
1. I am so glad you mentioned everyone's lack of blogging. We all need to get back on it..it is too much fun to quit now!
2. I LOVED this post and agree 100% with every.single.word. Amen, sista!
3. Sweet baby Charlotte is so precious! I love that Caroline wanted to match! I was just showing Anna that I had all 3 of the girls matching dresses a few times! (hard to do when the oldest is 7 years older than the youngest!)
I agree with your post 100% :)
Hilarious post! Better than any People or US magazine! This is the real deal and had me sucked in. 100% agreed!
I am SO MAD at myself for not getting in on this conversation earlier...grrr...I love a good celebrity conversation!
First off, why wasn't I on the cover of People magazine when I was 30 and not married? I have to admit that I think Kim K is gorgeous though.
And seriously, I could not be more thrilled about William and Kate. I have already put April 29 on my calendar and will be up at 5 am watching it all go down. This is showing my age, but I can totally remember getting up with my mom when Princess Di and Charles got married. I was OBSESSED with her...made my own photo albums from pictures I cut out of magazines, bought books about her with my allowance money, etc. LOVE the whole royal wedding thing!
The thing is...none of us really care but we (ok maybe just me) still get sucked into People, US Magazine, InStyle, etc. Oh well...
