Yippee! It's Bike Day!

Today was the day that Caroline has been looking forward to for weeks---BIKE DAY!!! She has been asking me each week if "this is the week". Last night, we made a special trip to Toys 'R Us to buy her a helmet. She was so excited, she even slept with it:

This morning when she woke up, she said "I'm so excited! Today is Bike Day!!". I'm not kidding, she was so giddy this morning. I remember that feeling when I was a little girl and my school had Field Day. It was so exciting!!

Jessica and I were signed up to come help, but it was so windy and chilly today, that when we showed up, the kids were tired of riding their bikes and they wanted to play on the playground! The class ordered Chick-fil-A for lunch, so I stopped by and picked some up for me and Roy Boy, too. He thought he was something else sitting at the kids table eating lunch with his sister. He loved the playground, too:

Caroline and her BFF Caleb. They both got the Super Singer award in music class today!

Caroline and her teachers Miss Nicole and Miss Amy. These ladies are great teachers and I'm sad that the year is coming to an end next week:( We will miss them.

When we got home from school, Caroline had to do some more bike-riding. She was still on a high:

It still makes me laugh to see a child wearing a helmet while riding a tricycle, but it's the law!

It was a fun day at school today. I don't think we were much of a help, but Ms. Amy and Ms. Nicole seemed to think we were! I love the picture of Caleb and Caroline. I'm so glad they are such good friends :)

Helmet on a tricycle? Did Obama come up with that? Oops! I hope she doesn't land on the front of her head since the helmet is sitting wayyyyyyy back there! She is so cute! Fun times ahead watching these little ones grow up....

Love the "thumbs up" pose - looks like something her mommy would do!

i see a female version of Lance Armstrong in the making here Donna. :)

Don't you love watching your kids have fun...like the giddy, belly laughing kind of fun? Now, did she sleep with her helmet on? Seems like that would hurt.

Your kids are just darling.

I agree with Denise. That first picture of Caroline with her thumbs up looked exactly like you Donna. I could see you and your personality in every one of those pics. Watch out New Years Eve!! I can see many years of "little concerts" from Caroline while all of us sit on the couch and watch!! Love you Donna!!

Her sleeping in that Helmet cracks me up...Seriously, that child sleeps with anything! The way you were starting your blog I was getting excited, I thought you guys were buying her a bike today! A little anti climatic for just bikes at school! You can't build me up like that then let me down!

ITA w/ TG - The thumbs up DOES look like it's something genetic.
AK was sooo excited that the "4 yeah olds" got to ride bikes, too. I don't know why- I guess she's looking forward to next year, because she was thrilled that it was bike day!

I cannot get over how old RA is starting to look. He is losing his babyness.

Caroline is so cute in these pictures. You can almost feel the excitement just looking at the pictures.

She REALLY has to wear a helmet on a tricycle??? Man, I am out of the loop! You would think I should know things like that. Oops.
I LOVE the picture of Roy! What a cutie. Your kids are so precious.
