While You Were Sleeping

This afternoon, I was starting to feel sick and was in desperate need of a nap (No, I'm not pregnant so don't start assuming). I put the kids down for their usual nap time and then plopped myself down on the couch for a little nap myself. I could hear Caroline getting up and down out of bed but I didn't care. As long as she stayed in her room, I was fine with it. Well, about 2 hours later, I finally pulled myself up and got going. I went upstairs and listened but didn't hear a sound from either of the children. I went in to take a hot bath hoping it would be the bolt of energy I needed. About twenty minutes later I got out and went in to wake up Caroline. This is what I found:
At the door, was this paper trail. Both of my kids love ripping paper. Caroline always says she's cutting coupons when I ask her why she does it.
Shoes in a line. By the looks of her room, the only thing I can imagine is that she was attempting to play dress up?

Here we have her Dorothy dress, her robe, and her nightgown thrown nicely on the floor.

Caroline loves this dress. She calls it her "Sleeping Beauty Dress". I guess she was about to try it on? And speaking of Sleeping Beauty...

Bless her heart. She was all hunched over and snoring!! Notice her shoes? She put those on during her dress-up session. I picked her up and she started crying because of her poor neck! She had a pitiful look on her face. I asked her if she had been playing dress up and she nodded yes really sadly:( So even though it was after 5:00, I laid her in my bed to finish her nap. I know I'll pay for this later tonight when she won't go to sleep!

Oh my back and neck hurt from those cute pictures of her sleeping all slumped over. Wait until Roy Boy can get out of his crib and play around during nap time. Oh lucky you.....Give them a kiss from Nana. Miss all my children and grandchildren when I am up here. Love you all...

Such a good little girl. At least she wasn't all over the house getting into mischief. She was just in her own room, playing with her own things, and reading her own book...at the end when she fell asleep in her own chair. Bless her little heart!!

So sweet, Donna!
When you started with the ripped paper, I thought that you were headed to check a mess in the bathroom like the other day!!

Very cute and funny. I bet her neck did hurt. Poor thing. I was a little worried too when I saw the ripped paper but relieved to see Roy was not involved. The picture of her sleeping is so sweet.

One time I took a nap when Adam was almost 2. When I fell asleep Adam was also fast asleep in his CRIB! He was always so good and never got into anything, so I never had to worry. But, I woke up and couldnt find him anywhere. I panicked and looked out the front window and saw him outside in the back of our truck! I dont know how he got out the front door and in the back of the truck. I felt like the worst mom in the world. Maybe I shouldnt tell that story?
