Things That Make You Go "Hmmmm"....

It's finally quiet in my house. I spent the afternoon trying to be a cool mom by making a gingerbread house with Caroline with the background music of Roy Austin crying and tugging at my pant legs for an hour straight! I had a splitting headache, to say the least, when Roy came home from work. He offered to take both kids back to the BG Library (we LOVE that place!!) for a carriage ride and told me to stay home, get a bath and relax. The kitchen is just about clean and I'm going to go do just that. But first.....

1. Oprah. Why in the world is it breaking news that she weighs 200 pounds? Seriously, I'm so sick of hearing about Oprah. She really irks me.

2. The Democrats and half the US were so concerned about Palin's "lack of experience", but apparently you can come from a political family and that is enough experience to be a US Senator? Senator Caroline Kennedy. Are you kidding me???

What a sweet thing of Roy to do! I hope you feel better after your bath.

Re: Oprah - umm yeah hasn't she weighed this amount for a while? Why is she "going public" about her weight. It is in People this week.

Isn't Caroline Kennedy's "opponent" Fran (aka The Nannny)?

How sweet of Roy! Hope your evening was relaxing. :O) Have you tried B&BW's Sleep Bubble Bath? LOVE IT! The warm milk, honey, & cinnamon one. Very relaxing.

I am so impressed with Roy that he took the kids and did that for you. Either that or he is moonlighting at the Library in the evenings. Ha!

Yes, the whole Oprah thing period has gotten to me. She thinks she is sumpin' else.

And C. Kennedy???? She will win and the media will gloat with pride. It is such a double standard.

A carriage ride? Like with real horses? How sweet is that! Is this something they're doing for Christmas?

Did you relax, or did you work? Hopefully you did something for YOU.

Oh dear, about Oprah, I have to say I was actually impressed with her article in January's O magazine. I posted about it today. I can't believe I supported her and bought the mag. I can tell she's thinks she some American icon though.

Would Roy ever run for President or his father for that matter? Donna, I could just picture you as the first lady! Your grace and hospitality, and not to mention your fashion sense! :)

What a nice thing for your husband to do!! Isn't the silence wonderful?? But just for a time- When Dave does that for me I always start to miss everyone after they're gone for 2 hours!

Me thinks Roy may have a motive behind that nice gesture...a little lovin' later tonight maybe! :) A good man!

I agree with Nancy...why is this "new" news about Oprah? And why does she feel like we give a darn? Oh, she so gets on my nerves and I refuse to watch her show.

Yes, we have Fran Drescher vs. Caroline Kennedy...hmmm. Donna, now you know the Kennedy name will get you anywhere in this liberal world regardless if you're a drug user, rapist, drunk driver who killed a woman, adulterer...need I go on?

Whoa...this post got me a little riled up! :)

I haven't watched Oprah or cared what she thinks for years! and I think Caroline Kennedy was a deal between Hilary and Obama! So glad you got some peace and quiet. I needed that last night too so Juette let me take a nap and he took care of dinner. We have some good men...good men!!
