We woke up bright and early and got dressed. Roy Austin enjoyed his bottle on the run (on the kitchen floor). Someone had to join him and drink her juice.
We are keeping the tradition going! When I was little, my Daddy would take me and my sisters to McDonald's every first day before school for breakfast! It was a very special treat. So this morning, Roy treated us all to Chick-fil-A (of course!) to celebrate the first day.
On the way into WEE School! She HAD to take her Princess backpack today. Roy bought her a cute little pink Jansport last year, but much to his dismay she insisted that she had to take the princess one. When I told her that Daddy would be sad if she didn't take the one he bought her, she said , "I'm sorry, but I have to!". As I was shooting this picture, Roy told me that was enough. I think I was embarrassing him in front of all the moms.
She found her own hook with her name on it, and then it was time to go meet Miss Amy and Miss Nicole...
Someone was just a little bit shy upon the introductions, but I think the ice was broken because when I picked her up, she was singing a song with Miss Amy. She had a great day and Roy Austin and I had a wonderful time running errands together, too! I think it will be a great year!

I am so pleased Caroline had a great first day of WEE School today. Aaron starts tomorrow. I am praying he will be on his best behavior. When we were away with my parents this weekend, my dad said, "Do you think Aaron will be okay at school". Aaron is the stronger willed of my two boys so I am hoping he keeps his ears and eyes open at school so that I don't get a call from Ms. Debbie!
That must feel so nice to have a little extra one on one time with your little guy. That's nice too that you all started the tradition of Chic-fil-a before the first day of school. Wait until Caroline is a Highschool Senior and you're still going there on the first day of school. Can't wait to see that post!

Now, does the Graham family get a special rate at Chick-Fil-A???? You must get free food b/c of your connection to Paw-Paw b/c you are VERY REGULAR attendees to Chick-Fil-A or as my mom used to call it...Chick-A-Flick.
You are the only person I know that goes to Chick-fil-A as much as I do!! I took Cade there today as a first day of school treat, too!!

Our family LOVES chic-fil-a, too - yet we've never run into yall there. We go to the Arboretum location.
The first week of school, my Caroline got out at 12 - you know right at lunch time. I took her to CFA 3 times that week! Mr Art even let her make her own icecream behind the counter. I guess they aren't aware of child labor laws?

Caroline's classroom is so cute! I love the little fence where they hang their bags. Is the school affiliated with your church? Max goes to our church's preschool and this week they're learning about creation. Guess I better stop calling him monkey...

Glad school is going well. I feel your pain...only our issue is with the lunchbox. I had gotten MFC a cute monogrammed one that matched her backpack. She prefers the one with a cat and a crown that says "Princess". So, Lilly thinks her initials are "MCF" because she has gotten MFC's hand-me-down lunchbox! Hope Caroline has a great year and that you'll enjoy your one-on-one time with RA!
