My Laugh Jar Runneth Over

I thought it was time for another laugh jar update. I hope this doesn't come across as a post bragging about my child. I guess I'll just be one of "those moms" for this post...

* Caroline was singing "Yankee Doodle Dandy" one day as she played in the playroom. Sometimes she gets the words wrong in a song. She was saying, "...stuck a feather in his hat and called it cheese...". I guess she figured Macaroni= Cheese!

*Caroline wanted to watch a DVD the other day. I told her no. She had the DVD she wanted to watch in her hand and she looked at it and said in a funny voice, "Caroline, watch me!", as if the DVD were talking to her. She then looked at me as if to say, "see?". She still didn't get to watch it.

*Caroline was holding one of my gold bangle bracelets. She placed it on top of her head and said, "look! An angel hat"!

*We were having friends over for a playdate one morning. Caroline told me she didn't want to have a playdate. When I asked why, she said "You talk to the mommies and won't play with me".

*Caroline had a mild case of diarrhea one week. One time she passed gas and a little extra baggage came out with it. I saw her running/waddling to the bathroom saying "My poopoo's hot!" I think it was burning her bottom:)

*Here is an entry all on it's own. We were drawing together the other day and she proudly showed me this likeness of me that she had done. It is now my favorite piece of artwork to date. I will keep this forever!
* Yesterday when I picked Caroline up from preschool, her teacher informed me that Caroline was chosen to be the "Super Singer" in music class. She is so proud of her award:

Thanks for bearing with me through this sappy post!!

What great quotes to remember, cherish and ponder.

Donna, I went to five gas stations this a.m. for gas and all were out! I wrote about it on my blog...what a morning!

SO CUTE!! I love the laughing jar updates and they aren't braggy. Everyone loves to hear funny kids stories...or at least I think everyone does--I sure do!

Hilarious...my favorite was "my poopy is hot". If I were you, I would have LOST it!

Oh Donna, those are so funny and sweet at the same time! She is going to be so glad you are writing these things down...what a great thing to pass on to her kids one day. :)

Speaking of laugh jars, they totally have those at Target. I was just browsing the other day and in one the aisles (by all the candles) I just happened to look down and see these jars with blue ribbon and some with pink ribbon. They were laugh jars and I laughed and thought of you!

Adorable! Sara could sympathize with this one: *We were having friends over for a playdate one morning. Caroline told me she didn't want to have a playdate. When I asked why, she said "You talk to the mommies and won't play with me".

I love hearing these stories and think that it's great that you are keeping up with the Laugh Jar! In agreement with the others on the hot poopoo but I also like her getting the DVD to talk. :O)

Oh good times! And seriously funny quotes. And Super Singer is the biggest deal ever. We still have one from LAST year.

Those are so funny/nice, Donna. Keep writing them down so you remember them. I'll tell you one about Denise when she was a little girl, since I don't have a blog. I had Denise with me at the grocery store when whe was 5 or 6 years old. While we were walking down the isles, I asked her to remind me to buy some whipping cream. Well, shortly before we went to check out, she DID remind me......she wanted to know if I had got the "spanking cream"!. Keep telling those funny things about your children. We all love it!

I loved reading these and the DVD story is my favorite one too. That was pretty clever of her to pretend her DVD talked. As if that might change your mind.

That's a funny story about Denise too. That Denise, she's a funny girl alright!

Oh, and I know I've told you this before but Caroline has your hands BIG TIME! In that last picture I can almost picture your face as a little girl with those hands.

What funny girl!
I really have been waiting on a post about Dancing with the Stars. I've watched it here and there, but all your hype got me interested and so far I am hooked. Just thought you would have some fun commentary on it thus far:)

The picture of you......oh so funny. Your "ladies" are interesting! I think she should do a yearly picture of you and you should keep them forever....Oh my dear can you imagine?
