Crayon Making 101

Once again, my friend, Nikki, gave us another great idea! This morning, Caroline and I made some edible crayons once RoyBoy took his nap. This is the cutest craft idea for any preschooler. Caroline loved it and we had a good time making them together. These are delicious, too! In case you're wondering, they're made with pretzel rods and candy melts.

Pardon my little rugrat. She has been running around the house this morning in just a t-shirt and panties and her hair is reminiscent of mine when I was her age. I was a major rugrat:)
If you want to make the crayons, look here and here. And, FYI, Michael's has candy melts on sale this week. Thanks for the idea, Nikki! We will definitely made these again.

Yours turned out SO CUTE too Donna! I bet Caroline loved making these and couldn't believe she was able to eat crayons. Let's just hope she doesn't try the real thing. Good job!

You are so quick! I saw them on Niiki's blog and thought WOW! I have them on my list to make too, but don't yet have the ingredients.

Looks like a fun morning for you and Caroline.

Well, I don't think Corey and I will be making edible crayons anytime soon, but I will remember to come knocking when I need the tips. Or better yet I am going to send my kids to Auntie Donna for all the crafts!

As far as Caroline being a Rugrat, Noway! She is looking adorable! She looks so proud as she bites into her crayon!

Cissie, that's right. Just send your children to Aunt Donna, that is what Dayna and I do! It is so much easier and Donna has so much more energy!

Donna, btw, Maddie has become a little iced sugar cookie maker like you. She made iced sugar cookies all weekend. Me likie a little too much.

Also, go to your apple spice cake recipe and read the second comment.

girl, i can hardly keep up with you lately...you are just a mover and a shaker. it's good to see you're still out there spreading your "ness."
I just wanted to say hi and your kids are still adorable [shock] and you are still the wind beneath my wings and i can't wait to be reunited!

I love that you actually did this craft with Caroline. I hear about crafts all the time, but I wind up skipping it because it's too much trouble, or it will be a mess. Way to go! I know that had to take some time and effort. But that little picture of Caroline in complete glee...totally worth it! Thanks for sharing...we'll try it. Maybe we'll make one or two...you made enough for the neighborhood. How long does Royboy sleep???
