Fay Has Arrived

It's true, folks. We've enjoyed three sunny days, but the beginning of Fay has finally arrived on St. George Island. We were celebrating Dolly's birthday tonight at a local restaurant and we could see a dark, gray sky in the distance right over the location of our house. We hurried into the car and drove towards the storm:

By the time we got home, it was pouring rain. We all made a run for it and when we all got inside, we were soaked and laughing.

No, this isn't Dolly and Roy leaving for their honeymoon in a downpour of rice. It's the birthday girl, her brother-in-law and niece getting drenched. The picture doesn't do it justice. Here's to hoping tomorrow is a sunny one.

So sorry Fay finally caught up with you. Looks like you all had fun running through all the rain last night, though. Caroline is hanging onto her daddy and having a great time. I hope the rest of the week isn't a complete washout. Watching movies gets old after a while. This surely will be a memorable vacation, though. I'm so glad you all were able to do this together. Keep the blogs coming!! ILY

I'm glad you all had a couple of days in the sun before Fay hit. I hope you can find things to do inside for several more days. Did you finish reading all your trash magazines BEFORE you got there? Did anyone bring Pictionary? Maybe you could do pedicures on each other.

Yes it looks like Fay is heading your way. Sorry! Be careful driving home so Fay doesn't blow the bus over.

So, did you make everyone wait in the bus while you ran in first and got your camera so you could make it a blog worthy moment?!? Way to go Donna...way to think of your devoted readers first!!

Call me crazy, but the older I get the more I like having it rain when I'm at the beach...kind of cozy if you ask me. :)

You guys be careful!!

the bus is parked in Tallahassee. We now have 'ol blue the trusty suburban. Actually, Leland, RA2 and I made it into the house first. DOlly and Roy were hesitating and I realized I had my camera right in my purse so I went with the moment.
