And It's Off!

Today was the day Caroline's nasty, stinky princess glove came off! I can't believe it's been three weeks already. I am so thankful that they flew by. Caroline has come to love her glove over these weeks and it's become a part of her. When I told her on Sunday that this was the week it was coming off, she told me "No thank you. My arm will hurt without it". To coax her into taking it off for good, I purchased the new Ariel movie that came out yesterday for her to watch after our appointment. We went to buy it and she said "No, ma'am. No thank you. I will still wear my glove". What?! She LOVES Ariel! So I told her that I would give the movie to Roy Austin then. She told me that was fine!

Yesterday alone Charlotte received like 7 inches of rain so the news was saying that traffic would be bad due to flooding streets. Our appointment was at 9:15 uptown at the hospital. Just to be safe, I loaded my two up and we headed out at 8:00. Would you believe that it took me 2 hours to go 13 miles down a straight road?! I'm not lying. By the time we pulled up at Carolina's Medical Center, my nerves were shot and we were very late to our appointment. All went well, though. The fracture has healed and the glove is in my purse.

When we got home, I asked Caroline if she was sure she wanted her brother to have her new Ariel movie. She said, no and that she thought it should be her movie. Here is the happy girl, without her splint and with her new prize:

Well...was it really stinky and nasty? Must not have been that bad if you put it in your purse.

I can't believe it took you that long to go 13 miles!! But, I guess you were getting work traffic too, weren't you?

Good job, Caroline! :)

Glad her arm is better and the glove is gone!

I had heard traffic was bad this morning due to the heavy rain we've received, but 2 hours to get to CMC? Not good.

What if you'd been in labor?

I agree with Nancy . . . what if you had been in labor? Traffic has been awful for the past two days! It took Dave over an hour to get to Pineville this morning!!

I ditto the labor thing.

Wow! I don't miss the traffic in Charlotte, that's for sure.

Caroline's arm thing was a little smelly the few times I helped her take it off at the beach. I can still smell it! PHEWW! She did great though wearing it as long as she did. Glad it's all better!

Dolly, call me crazy but I am smelling that smell right now. Poor Caroline! I'm glad it is off but isn't it funny that she wanted to keep it? When I was little, I wanted a broken arm or leg SOOOO bad and would get so jealous of the poor soul who really injured themselves.

Woohoo! Glad that it worked out for her to take it off. :O) I know that you were a little worried how that would go over. Love the thumbs up pic!
