Our weekend was filled with much fun. Dolly and Leland came to spend the holiday with us. They are always so refreshing to be around and we love when they visit. They came with us to Montreat to spend the 4th with Roy's family. We watched a parade, ate BBQ, visited with family and friends, ate some nasty chicken at Zaxby's and then headed home with 2 tired kids to watch the fireworks.
The next day was all about Baby Michael. We did some shopping, shopping and then more shopping. Dolly found some cute things and we hit some great sales. Roy and Leland were troopers. Let me also stop here to explain the last part of my post title. For some reason, Caroline has been saying--or should I say very LOUDLY saying---"AHHHH!". She has this DVD about letters and the "A's" say that when they see a monster, which she thinks it is so funny to copy...especially to her brother when he's sleeping. So, all weekend long while we were traveling in the car, she'd make this annoying sound. It was really bothersome, especially to her annoyed mother, so we decided that the theme of the 4th of July Weekend '08 would be "AHHHH!".

We had such a fun weekend as always with you all. You have great kids despite the annoying AHHHHH sound. Leland and I were laughing about that on the way home. Thanks for taking us all around on Saturday. You're right...Roy and Leland were good sports but we sure got some good deals. I'm getting ready to blog about our weekend too! By the way....I took a 6 HOUR nap today! I must have been exhausted too!

Great recap, Donna! I love Caroline's 4th outfit. Congrats to RA on crawling too! Glad you guys had a fun time and got to have some sister shopping too. Can't wait to see all the cute things baby Michael has in his closet already when we come in a few weeks.
Sounds like a busy, but fun weekend! What were the deals at Nordstrom's? Is this the semi-annual sale?
Nordstrom's semi-annual begins on the 17th. We went to Gaffney and Banana Republic had a big sale of 40% off the entire store, Pottery Barn outlet had a big sale, and then at Southpark, Gap and Belk had a big sale. Basically every store had a sale:)

I'm glad you and Dolly had such a great time. You are brave souls to take everyone with you on a long day of shopping. You are married to two patient men, I have to say. Dolly actually has a baby bump now. SO CUTE!

Finally got to see the slideshow at the office. I know you all had a great time together. There's just nothing like being with family and good friends. I'm glad for you. Dolly said that she and Leland really enjoyed their time with you. Thanks for the nice pics. Those children are getting sooo big!
