So, did you watch LOST last night? I have to admit, I was a little dissapointed in the season opener. The episode did not answer any questions--it just created another huge list! Were they all rescued or just six of them? Who was that creepy man who visited Hurley in the psyche ward? And what's with that scary house that Hurley kept seeing (I had my eyes covered during that part). Is that where "Jacob" is? I'll just have to keep watching.
I had my first Parent/Teacher conference this morning at Caroline's preschool. The teachers told me just what I expected to hear: She's sweet, sassy, independent and a little stubborn! They said those are good characteristics to have because it shows leadership quality. Here's to hoping she still has those qualities when she enters middle and high school. I'm dreading that stage already.
This weekend should be pretty fun and laid back for our family. I am getting my hair cut and foiled tomorrow and I cannot wait! Roy has always wanted me to have long, sexy hair and I've given it a try a few times, but what he doesn't understand is that my Russian grandmother blessed me and my sisters with her hair genes. Stringy, thin, fine, limp, basically weighed down. It is virtually impossible for me to grow my hair past my shoulders without looking worn out. Today with the rain and getting two kids in and out of a car without an umbrella, I looked like a poor, wet mutt that nobody wanted. Tomorrow I am getting a nice clean cut with some highlights to match. Sorry, Roy. Lucky for our kids, they have Graham hair.
Laura, now that I know you read my blog, I expect some comments here and there. I'm thinking of a catchy name for a potential blog for you. I love to recruit bloggers.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone. I'll be back soon with a Super Bowl recap.

So, I watched LOST last night as well. Like you, I have a TON of questions! That house was Jacob's house. Remember when Lock went into that house last season? We kept rewinding it and the guy in the wheelchair looks exactly like Jack's dad!
Donna, Had to comment on this because, I too, am a huge Lost fan and was pretty dissapointed at the end of the show. I felt like I had waited all these months for something "big" and it just didn't happen. Oh well, guess that's how they keep you coming back for more! Is this the last season?
I am so with you on Lost! I hated the first hour with the recap. We have recapped enough, on with the show!
I, like Toni Rivera, was rewinding and that is how I caught a snip of Jacob too! Scary!
Who is this? Dawn?
The whispering is what scares me! The second I start hearing that, my hands go over my face because I know something's about to happen. I have to have Roy give me a play by play. Hmmm. So Jack's dad was in the rocking chair? I'm so confused.
They only have 3 seasons left, Kristin, so they have TONS of time left to confuse us more.
I too was disappointed and confused. There are SO MANY open doors and questions. During the recaping (for the 2nd time this week - boring), I remembered that Jack's dad is somehow linked to Claire - aren't they brother and sister and don't even know it yet?
I get chills when the "voices" appear. I also freak out when they are in the woods - especially when they are alone, like Hurley and Kate were last night.
They are all turning a little "psycho".
I still believe it is purgatory and the "stuff" in between is just to keep the season going. If you listen closely to the narrator of the recaps, he describes how each of them have their issues.
The good news is...we get to be more confused next week!!
ok, so that was me earlier. I have no idea why it showed up as anonymous. Anyway, I was thinking that was Jacob sitting in the chair. I am going to watch that part again to see. I still have it on tivo. Here's an idea. Let's watch lost and forget the superbowl! Mitchell would die!
OK, I am lost with all the LOST banter. I never watched that show but I did want to comment regarding the hair. I, too, am half baldheaded thanks to my mother's genetics and my husband too gets insulted that I don't grow my hair out since I know he loves long hair. He wants me to be another Jane Seymour. My hair becomes transparent the longer it gets it is so thin and stringy. Anyway, have you ever tried the Big Sexy Hair products? Someone at church told me about them and I LOVE THEM!!! So great for thin hair. You can find them at many salons or ULTA. They have a product called What a Tease that is like a root boost. It is the bomb! Anyway, FYI.
Kristi- Hilarious with the Jane Seymour comment. I too love the big hair products! They smell good too! They sell them at Harris Teeter too.
Thanks for the tip, Kristi. I just got an Ulta coupon in the mail yesterday so I may have to venture there after my appt. to take a little look.
Suzanne, I think Mitch would be angry if we skipped the super bowl and I don't want to see that. He can scare me some times!
I am blessed with those same hair genes Donna. Wait about 10 years...it's really impossible to have any length to your locks!!!
Hi Dayna, I am so excited to finally talk to you. Welcome, welcome, welcome. You probably don't remember me but we had one class together at Liberty. I want to say it was Art Appreciation with the guy that was so eccentric. I can't remember. What was that 20 plus years ago....Oh well, you were always so nice.
LOL. Mitchell scares you! Meg just told me to make sure Mitchell behaves. You girls.
Donna, I hope you'll still be my friend even though I don't watch Lost. I watch A WHOLE lot of other TV. Does that help at all?
May I have permission to list your blog as a link on mine? I don't have a huge readership, but your posts are great.
Joy, are you kidding me? Of course! I'll list you on mine too so I don't have to keep going on the Shout Out to find you. It's okay that you don't watch LOST. It's a little confusing!
