Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree

Friday night, we had our friends, the Johnsons and the Scholles, over for dinner. It was a special night because Dolly and Denise were also coming in town to do a little Christmas shopping and visiting. Every year for the past 3 years or so, we've had a BGEA Christmas get-together with these couples, so it was nice to continue the tradition, although three of them no longer work for the organization and it was good to get the kids together, too. With four babies, two toddlers, a cool "tween", the ASU game on TV, five girls laughing and carrying on, and Roy telling us to be quiet so he could hear the game, it was pretty loud and chaotic! We weren't able to play our usual rowdy game of Mafia this year...sorry Mitchell. It would have been a triple threat with three Rebers playing:)

Then on Saturday, Denise, Dolly and I hit SouthPark mall with three babies to finish our Christmas shopping. Roy was sweet enough to take Maddie and Caroline with him for the day. Even with three kids, it was a crazy day fighting the mall crowds. I think the highlight of the day was when we were standing in Dick's Sporting Goods at 5:00 pm: two of the children were crying, one was beginning to start, one had a poopy diaper, one had wet through his pull-up and the song 'It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year' was playing over the loud speaker! We left the mall in the freezing cold and rain, and came home to a nice steak dinner that Roy surprised us with:)

Let's get this party started! We all ended up eating our dinner in front of the TV to watch the ASU game.

Max and Mitchell having a serious heart-to-heart in the kitchen.

It's these babies' first Christmas! Margaux (in the white), AnnaPreston (sleeping), Sarah (more interested in the pillow) and Roy Austin (hanging with the ladies)!

Here's the girls at Graham Central Station, sneaking to use the computer. Roy HATES when I get on the computer at night and he was getting upset that we were on it. Well, that and he was getting mad because we were being nosey and looking up people on My Space!

Maddie enjoyed setting Caroline's hair in pin-curls, using every bow Caroline owns.

girls, I'm already back, had family pictures taken and I'm worn out from all the fun we had! I keep telling everyone about Roy's awesome steak dinner he made us. That really was a treat! One things for sure...you always eat GREAT at Graham Central Station. I can still hear that song "It's the most wonderful time of the year" in slow motion as it's getting slower and deeper. I'm laughing thinking about it. It's FREEZING here today so a nap by the fire is calling my name.
