What do you do with two hyper girls on a cold, December day? Take them to Target, buy a gingerbread house kit and make it with them. This is what I did today with my niece, Maddie, and my Caroline, and it was actually fun. Caroline ate more of the candy then she put on the house, but it was the memory we made that mattered, right?! By the way, the picture on the front of the box is always so much prettier and elaborate than what you end up with.
After we started making our house, we left to go meet Dolly at the theater to go see Enchanted, which I LOVED! It is right up there with The Princess Diaries movies in my book--a little silly, a total girl movie, and one you feel like a little girl again watching! (Teecy, our dream of being able to sing and dance through life like we're in a musical takes place in this movie. You've got to see it!). Caroline sat on my lap the entire time and loved the movie, too, although she covered here face a few times during the "scary" parts!!

Tomorrow we make the trip back to Charlotte. It's been a fun week here in Lynchburg, but it's time to get back on schedule...especially Miss Caroline! We have three doctor's appointments to fill and I have to get my bridesmaid's dress altered during the next two days so we will be on the go once again. Roy comes home on Saturday and I can't wait. I do not like this single-parenting thing!

Donna, I'm so glad we share the same dream. It's nice to have a friend that understands this dream! It will come true one day...maybe not on this side of heaven, but we will star in (or at lease be in!) our own musical one day.
I was going to ask how long you will be in Lynchburg. Will you get to come back for Christmas?
Cute gingerbread house. THat was a nice little activity to do with the girls. I hate that today is my day off and you are going home today. WAHHHH! It was fun having you guys here.

Teecy, I cannot wait to star in my own musical! I'm not kidding, when the girl in the movie started to sing I immediately thought of you!
Yes, we are coming home for Christmas. Are you kidding me?!
I am just catching up on the blogs! You are such a good aunt. Love the GBhouse! Love the litte girl trying to eat it!
