First things, first. This morning, she played for a little bit with the new load of Little People toys Auntie Dayna let us borrow for a few years. Thank you, Dayna! The minute we got home from preschool, she ran upstairs to go find them and play before nap time!No first-day jitters for this girl. Bring preschool on! It was a very special treat to have Grandaddy and Grammy come with us this morning.
Me and my sweet Caroline.
Grammy and Caroline, sporting her backpack...a must have for any serious student.
Let her in, Miss Amy! She's ready!
Caroline's first day of school art. I made a big deal out of it, but she could have cared less!
And what kind of a mom would I be if I didn't have her favorite food from her favorite place waiting for her in the car?! Since today was the first day, they had no lunch at school, so I had to suprise her:)
So now she is napping. While she was at school, my parents and I unloaded the bed and got it all set up in her new room. I'll show pictures at a later date. I want to get the room finished before I post about it. When I showed her the bed, which again I had made a big deal about, she looked at it and said "I want to go pway". Oh well! I think we may try sleeping in it tomorrow night. Since Saturday is the day that I sleep in, I might just let her sleep in my bed tonight!

she's a natural student! I loved all your comments by the pictures. Especially the "No first day of school jitters for this girl."
You're a good mom to have her favorite Chick-fil-a waiting for her. Caroline is a lucky little girl.
Caroline, sure is growing up! Seems like she is going to love school.
You sure are going to enjoy those Fridays, before Roy Austin comes! I wish I would have taken advantage of my time, but who knew this little one would change my life so drastically!
Seeing Caroline with her chick fil a reminds me of that good, surprised feeling as a little girl.
Way to go Donna!
by the way Donna...I just read this post to Leland and regarding the comment about Caroline picking out her own clothes, he says, "CAREBEAR DIVA" :)
Wow Donna, now it is my turn to cry. That was sweet. I am so glad that mom and dad were able to go with you to take her to school. I am sure they LOVED it. Memories......that was special. Anyway, did you cry?
I am happy for you. You have a nice little life there in the Queen City!
Suprisingly, I did not cry! I guess it's because that's our church, too, so it just felt like she was going to Sunday School. Now, when she enters Kindergarten or 1st grade, I will probably break out the kleenex, but preschool is a walk in the park!
Don Don, you're such a good mommy. I hope I'm that good of a mommy to AP. By they way, you have some hot legs in the front stoop pic. You don't even look prego! That kind of made me sad that sweet Carol is that big. I'm so glad your parents were here! Where is your gift cert. to? Max gave me one from AP that I need to do.
Donna, sweet pictures and sweet family! I think your parents are with my parents right now...dan, jan, peg and bob are probably partying like it's 1979! (I love that they all have 3 letter, short vowel names!)
Donna, you look great!! And, what a very special day captured on the blog for us to see. Caroline looks so cute in her pink little dress too. Can't wait to see the rooms.
BTW, I let Caroline sleep in my bed and let's just say it wasn't enjoyable. I had to move her back into a vertical position so many time throughout the night. At one point I felt her feet kicking my back and Roy Austin's feet kicking my belly. Not enjoyable.
Oh, Hannah...the gift card is to Shapes Spa across from the Arboretum. It used to be called the Tahitian.
oh yeah...the kids club gave my parents one to there after Nathan. Shoot! Mine's to Ballantyne. We coul've gone together!
