Cribs are SO last week!

I've been posting a lot recently. Either that means we have a lot going on or I am really bored and can't wait for my husband to get home! Probably a little of both. Oh, and speaking of, my hunter called me this morning and told me that he killed a 10-pointer with his bow from the ground! I guess this is a big deal, because normally he's in a tree stand when he's killed anything with his bow. He is ready to come home, but it won't be until Wednesday:(

Luckily, we have kept really busy and last week actually flew by. We've accomplished a lot in the past week and I am happy to report that Caroline is now sleeping in her big girl bed! She did the transition all by herself and I think she feels really big in her pink room and her "princess" bed. I told her that her bed looked like Belle's in Beauty and the Beast, so maybe that helped the progress?!
Anyway, I asked her yesterday if she wanted to nap in her crib and she said yes, so I placed her inside of it only to have her cry big tears and say "no, no.....RoyBoy's bed! I go night-night in big girl bed!" Shocked, I placed her in her bed and she read books until she fell asleep! It was kind of sad but kind of nice at the same time that she decided on her own that she was ready. Last night we read books in her bed and again she laid there reading and talking to her "friends" (dolls and animals) until she fell asleep. It took about 1.5 hours, though. Today for her nap, I didn't leave as many books in her bed! I checked on her throughout the night to make sure she wasn't going to fall off the bed and I have to say, she has some strange positions that she chooses to sleep in. She stayed in there all night long, though, and didn't try to get out! We also transferred all of her clothes to her new closet and put all of the baby's stuff in his. It's so weird to have Caroline totally out of the nursery. After I placed her in her bed for today's nap and turned on her music--which by the way, her new favorite song is I Can Only Imagine!-- I walked into the nursery across the hall and kind of teared up. It just doesn't seem like she should be out of that room yet. It's an end of a chapter in her life, but the beginning of a new one:(

So here is a picture of Caroline from last night. Before I went to bed, I went and checked on her, and this is how I found Sleeping Beauty:

Ash- Good to see you are back! You have been missed!
Donna- I love the post! Caroline is really growing up. Such a sweet girl. Nice bed- be sure to post pics of her room, whenever you are finished. I noticed she still has her blankie. How adorable. You still up for lunch on Tuesday? Hannah mentioned Just Fresh out by her place off of hwy 49.

That sounds good. They used to have one of those near our old house but it went out of business. I need to get directions there, though:)

Good for you Donna! I cannot wait to see her room. You need to get fabric so I can make the curtains!

So glad Caroline likes her bed. I didn't get a chance to see her reaction to it after we set it up. We'll see her/you again in a few days, though. You're doing a great job in fixing the rooms for both Caroline and little Roy Austin. I'm proud of you!!!

The picture is hilarious! I can't wait to see her room and make a big deal over her big girl bed! That bed sure is heavy! Leland and I had to carry it down three flights of stairs!
