You're Not a Good Man, Charlie Brown!

It's universal.  Either a child flocks to large, over sized characters at amusement parks and parties or they are simply terrified of them.  I think it's safe to assume Charlotte is terrified of them.  Last night we were at Carowinds....again. (we have to get our use out of those season passes!) Roy and Roy Austin were riding a roller coaster, when I looked over and saw good 'ol Charlie Brown hanging out all alone.  I thought Charlotte might like to meet him:

When we started approaching him she got so, so stiff.  She started CLINGING to me saying, "Mama?  Mama?"  So I put her down and had her pose with Caroline and Charlie.  Then I looked over and saw Lucy and Woodstock and so....we went to meet them too.  It was quite funny to see her back up and shake!  When the boys got off their ride I told Roy what happened and Charlotte went back to meet the Peanuts Gang.  Sometimes it stinks being the baby of the family:)

Bless her heart....you're absolutely right....kids either love those big characters or they're terrified of them. I remember vividly when Dayna was about the same age as Charlotte. We were in a department store, going up an escalator. As we reached the top, a huge Fred Flintstone character appeared out of nowhere. Dayna let out a blood curdling scream, and then carried on for another five minutes. Being a new mom, I was crying right along with Dayna. It was NOT a good experience...or memory. So I can sympathize with Charlotte.....keep her away from those giants!

I don't know what's funnier. Queenie being afraid of the Peanuts characters or Mom crying along with Dayna in the department store. I never knew that story Mom that's funny! Enjoy your last day of vacation Donna. Tonight it's early to bed and early to rise For that chick fil a breakfast!
