For the second half of our Christmas, we drove up to Smithfield, NC for Christmas with Roy's side of the family. We had a nice time visiting with Mama Jane and Pop and seeing other family members. Normally we have dinner at Roy's grandparent's house, but with the crowd getting so big, we all met at a local BBQ restaurant this year instead.
The kids table:
RoyBoy and his cousin, Quinn:
Caroline and her cousin, CJ. CJ's smiling here, but during the dinner, she slowly started to feel really sick. I ended up holding her on my lap for about 30 minutes while she slept on my shoulder. The next day I found out she had strep throat:) Nice. But, I didn't get it!
Roy's Uncle Phil and his sweet grand-daughter, Mara. She was born 3 days after Charlotte:
Mara's daddy held her while Roy's cousin, Carriedelle, held Charlotte during dinner. They had time to get to know each other and I had time to eat (the hushpuppies were delish!):
We celebrated Jane's birthday when we came back to the house for dessert. Here is Cissie bringing in the cake. That was very good, too. I'd love a piece right now:
I won't say how old Jane turned, but let's just assume it rhymes with "pixty". Lookin' good, Jane!:
Here is another cousin, Sarah (I think she's a second or third cousin??), holding Mara. These babies got passed around a lot that night:
Mama Jane put on a party hat for the night:
Aunt Cissie gave the kids some cute gifts. Caroline got the Rapunzel doll from the movie "Tangled". She goes everywhere with us in the car:
This girl did great during the trip. Sweet Charlotte...she just goes with the flow! I think it's safe to say that she got Roy's eyes, too:

I don't want to hurt your feelings at all, Donna. I know you have just given birth and might be sensitive and you worked really hard on this post but I have to say....I am VERY disappointed in this post. I saw no sighting of Paw-Paw ANYWHERE!!!! ANYWHERE!!!!! It just ain't right!!!!
