Saturday we attended the McGee's annual Easter Egg Hunt. They have the perfect yard for this and everyone always has a blast. Every year it reminds me so much of the Easter Egg Hunt scene from Steel Magnolias:
Caroline and Caleb (who is moving to Greenville, SC this summer. Caroline doesn't know yet. There is going to be one sad girl and mommy in Charlotte this summer:(
Roy Austin didn't know what to think about all the eggs on the ground at first, but he quickly caught on. He would stop and eat the candy along the hunt. He ate 4 pieces of chocolate in a row--foil and all!!! He even found one of the golden eggs filled with money, but he could have cared less. Chocolate is more his speed:
Roy and Caroline participated in a Father/Child Egg Walk:
While they were playing, and I was taking pictures, I looked around and couldn't find RoyBoy. He was behind me walking near the creek looking for "gucks" (ducks). Does his face spell trouble or what?!:

We are looking forward to celebrating Easter tomorrow. Caroline has been singing "Up From the Grave, He Arose!" all day! We have all eaten way too much Easter candy, and are looking forward to a yummy dinner tomorrow night. Happy Easter, everyone! We hope your day is filled with fun, family and celebrating Jesus!

Romantically picture perfect for my romantically picture perfect sister! Glad you had a nice day! The best is yet to come---okay, go ahead and sing it Tammy Faye!
So you are having Easter din din too instead of lunch? Us too. We thought we would do din din so Dolly and Dayna and their families could join us.
I do love my grandchildren......they are so cute!
Jan~are you going to weed when you go to Donna and Roy's? I thought they were suppose to do that when they came to our houses! But I will be glad to help you Donna because you may be looking after me when I lose my marbles! You may have to pick me up after hours of being on my knees~ I love the picture of Roy Austin walking with his hands behind his back......wonder what he is thinking?
Jane, you make me laugh! "when you lose your marbles". haha!
What a fun Easter celebration weekend with the kids. The pic of Roy Austin trying to climb up on his police car with his rain boots cracks me up! He's so funny!
The kids looked so cute and you're right...it reminded me of the movie Steele Mags too!
Love you and Happy Easter! He has RISEN!!!!!
