It was definitely a week of cousins. We had 12 children in the house ranging from ages 11 to 7 months! They all had so much fun being together. Caroline loved every second of it. When I asked her what was the best part of the beach, she said "laughing and talking". Here she is with sweet baby Jane:

This is the way my Daddy works the beach: jeans, t-shirt and shoes under an umbrella. He had a really bad case of sun-poisoning years and years ago, so he basically sits on the porch most of the time, but sometimes if we're lucky, he will come sit with us for a while!!

I read Melissa Gilbert's Prairie Tale at the beach and I give it a D rating. It's the story of a has been who loves to name drop. Oh, and she was a bad, bad, BAD girl!!
This is a picture of the kids table each day for lunch and dinner. It made meals so much more enjoyable--they had fun and we had fun with no noise inside!

One night we attempted to take family pictures. The Logans were the only winners that night due to a big storm that came up on us. This one is great!! I'm thinking Christmas card '09??
These two were winners, too. Another Christmas card contender. 42 years of marriage and they still got it!!!

I love all the pictures!!! It looks like you all had a great time! I got claustrophobic looking at all the pictures of the ones buried in the sand. I empathize with your dad. I got sun poisoning on my face when I was a sr. in high school and my facial skin has never been the same.
I LOVE the Logan family picture. They are all so photogenic.

Girl, you need to warn me before you go posting any beach pics. I don't know what kind of pictures you took. I agree...the vacation went by too fast. The 23 people in one house wasn't as crazy as I thought it was goign to be. Good post and great memories. I can't wait to see the talent show pics!
You're on top of it, Donnie! Great pics and great recap. That Roy Austin trips me out, I tell you. He reminds me of Max on Max & Ruby sometimes. I love him. I love this post!! We enjoyed our family vacation SO much, and your post brought back memories of ythe fun we had! I am so glad your family goes on trips together! There can be nothing more important than spending time with family!

Donna, you need to print out these posts for all of your family. This is like a mini scrapbook! The Logan's picture is soooo good! I've started "Voice in the wind" too, I've had to refer to the glossary several times...oh dear.

I love the pic of the laughing cousins on the beach and I love the shot of the "stay up laters" playing games around the table - maybe not the best picture but it captures the memory and I can just imagine being there.(I didn't mean that to be mean about not a great picture - I just men that its not a great shot of the individuals but its a great shot of the moment - does that makes sense?!)
