I know that the Duggar family is frequent blog material, but I just watched the episode where Joshua and Anna get engaged and I seriously feel nauseous. The giggling, gross hand holding, chaperons in the backseat, giggling and serious awkwardness threw me for a loop!
Then the episode where they go to Arkansas to meet the family was even worse! The cool cousin, Amy, who comes to visit and thinks the family rules are ridiculous, again the awkwardness and the giggling and the gross, sweaty hand holding. Why is this family so interesting and entertaining to me?!
I think that Cousin Amy is really going to influence some of those Duggar girls. Ten bucks says Jinger is the first to fall off the bandwagon.

Great post. I was reading about them on Kristi's blog too.
How was the speaker on Monday night? I hope it was great.
I know what you mean Donna. I can't imagine marrying someone when the ackwardness was so great even around a restaurant table. I thought the idea of "courtship" was to get to know the person. Seemed like an awful lot of giggling and hand groping to me.
Oh and the "I Love You"s were plentiful too!!
We must have been watching at the same time. Nikki had warned me but I had no idea the hand holding would be so funny. I was laughing out loud. It's so sweet in a way, but so weird too. The cool cousin is gonna make trouble, I had the same thought. One of those girls is headed for pants.....
I've said this a few times now on other blogs about this episode...three words... sweaty stinky hands!
And sweet Jinger--yes she will be the one to wear jeans or "slacks" first!
LAUGHING at Nancy saying GROPING!!!!! THat is funny and so true!
what about the part when Joshua told the family that he and Anna were going to "spend the night together" (meaning spend time together) and the entire family burst out in uncontrolable giggles?! Anna's face got so red and she was hysterical!
I'm obsessed with them too for some odd reason. I guess it's just one of those things that it's so horrible...yet...you can't look away!
I haven't had the pleasure of seeing this episode yet. But I am greatly looking forward to it. I am always drawn like a moth to the flame, staring at Mom's hair. What is the deal with that?
DONNA, I just watched this for the 1st time several nights ago and I was dying! BUT, I can so remember that feeling when I first held a guy's hand, can't you guys??? But, I personally, think Anna was wanting a little more than hand holding. Did y'all notice the looks she kept giving him? She would have kissed him if he would have made the move.
Oh, and how about when they kept interviewing Anna's parents and her mom was just grinning from ear to ear and not saying anything...just looking at her husband in a submissive way.
You got to know that out of that many kids there will be at least one who "goes astray"...know what I mean?
Oh yeah - Jennifer's right on about Anna's mother not saying a word and just smiling and looking at her husband - I noticed that too.
hhaa! Jennifer, I thought the same thing. When Joshua proposed to her, you could tell she wanted to kiss him so badly. She was actually arching her back away from him to keep from kissing him! Roy and I were laughing so hard. We rewinded (is that a word) SOO many parts of that show!
I was a "virgin" (tee, hee, hee) to the Duggar show also until I caught this exact episode. I couldnt figure out why I was watching it? It was so awkward that my hands were sweating. I agree, one of these kids is going buck wild! They should stop while they are ahead!
Who wants to bet on how long it will take for Anna to get pregnant? I think a month b/c you know they have been so deprived that they have probably not left the bedroom yet. Michelle will have grandchildren who play with her children. We need to pray poor MIchelle into early menopause.
