What We've Been Up To

**Warning. Long post**

Roy comes home on Monday and that day can't come soon enough. I feel like I haven't seen him in forever. We did, however, have a conversation over Skype on Wednesday and today. Skype is the coolest thing and it's free! Seeing Roy was a sight for my sore eyes. Caroline loved talking to her Daddy and seeing his face, too . She giggled and couldn't believe it. Here she is having a chat with Roy:

On Thursday, you all know about my rendezvous with Harris Teeter. But earlier in the day, I watched Jessica's kids while she ran some errands. Caroline and Caleb are BFF's. They had so much fun playing together inside and outside, although Caroline kind of got on his nerves because she kept trying to hug him. Yikes! Remember, sweetheart. Guys like girls who play hard to get.

Fast forward 13 years and Roy will be saying, "Son, make sure she's home by 9."

Friday morning marked the start of Shower Me With Love's 3 day sale. We were there at 10 when the doors opened and look who we ran into....Suzy Q, herself!

We also saw HPS! She bought that cute little number in her hands for AnnaPreston and Suzanne and I picked one up for our daughters, too. It will be personalized, of course. I also picked up some shoes for Roy Austin and some little prizes for Baby Logan. Afterwards the three of us along with all of our children went to Harpers for some good eating. Our poor waitress, that's all I'm sayin.

Okay, now please don't think I'm insane, but I made one more trip to Harris Teeter. I know, I know, but I just had to do it. I saved another $65 and got more free food, too! I also found 2 mistakes on my receipt that they will have to fix tomorrow and I have a $5 rebate from the ribs I bought. AND I will win my free aerobed I earned when I go get my receipt fixed tomorrow. Here is my bounty:

I had to get some meat on this trip, some eggs and other necessities like watermelon. My poor kids. They look like they've been dragged to 4 grocery stores within 24 hours. Oh, wait. They have.

But that doesn't stop RoyBoy from smiling--messy face, hair and all.

So, let's see. I have 2 more days of being a single mom until my man returns! What else can I do to kill some time? Hmmmm....

I am going to paint our sitting room tomorrow and then when Roy comes home, I'll have a project waiting for him: hanging a mirror collage over the sofa wall thanks to an idea I am stealing from Dawn's house. Thanks, Dawnie!! Roy will be thrilled.
