Caroline Visits the Dentist

Today was Caroline's first trip to the dentist, and she did great! I talked it up all morning and when we pulled into the parking lot, she went crazy and started cheering. She was so excited to see the "teeth doctor" as she called it.
Getting situated in the special chair and talking to Miss Cindi, the hygenist.
Getting ready to count the pearly whites. Look how she is gripping the armrests!

She opened her mouth so wide and was singing The Little Mermaid, "ahhhhh...ahhhhh". I was trying not to laugh. Halfway through the procedure she turned to me and gave me a thumbs up!
She was able to pick out two prizes--a cool tooth bracelet and a flower bracelet that she broke when we got into the car, which brought on tears.

Here she is showing off her pretty, sparkly smile with her new toothbrush! We'll be back in 6 months!

WHOA...I just got home and you are a quick 'un! You must've busted out that laptop and gotten to work the minute we all left. Way to go CAROL and we had a fun playdate with you today. Thank you again for the yummy lunch and don't forget to send me the chix salad recipe. Love you.

Wow! She really looks big in those pictures. She's growing up and already going to the dentist. I remember that same hygienist when I went there. I miss that place! I love how they played Christian music while you got your teeth cleaned and the male dentists were always so nice looking...that's when I was single. :)

This must be the dentist week. I went on Friday, Maddie on Monday and Dan Dan goes today. It is good that you got Carol in. I tried to get Harry Jack in but they won't see him until he is 4????

That's a great blog, and I love the pictures of Caroline. She's getting soooo big. When I saw the title to this blog, "Caroline Visits the Dentist", it sounded like the title to a childrens book. I got to thinking that you, with your writing skills, could probably write a whole series of "Caroline" books that have life experiences for children. You'd be very good at that. Anyway, our little Caroline sure is a sweet little thing and I miss her so much. Keep the blogs and the pictures coming so I can see what the children are doing from day to day.

So cute! What a brave girl. I laughed at her singing an Ariel song. Did you have your video camera with you?

What a big girl!!! I LOVE going to the dentist...it's the best feeling after the teeth are polished. Glad that her first visit was a good one and I'm sure the hygenist loved the Little Mermaid song. :O)

That is encouraging to hear. I have been thinking about getting Reese to the dentist and talk to her about it every so often. I practically have to hold her down to get a good brush in so I am wondering what it will be like... any words of wisdom as to what to say?
