Friday afternoon, my sister Dolly and two of her friends (Teecy and Kim) came to visit us for what Dolly thought was a "girls weekend". We had been secretly planning a 30th birthday surprise for Dolly for about a month!! Teecy and Kim are probably two of the funniest girls I know and the entire weekend was spent laughing! I laughed so hard on Friday night that I even considered calling the doctor's office to see if I could injure the baby by laughing. My belly was killing me and so tight by the time I went to bed. I even had to stand up and laugh several times because the sitting and laughing position was too much to handle.
Saturday was spent shopping at South Park Mall during the no tax holiday. I rushed home mid-day to prepare for the party and then by 5:30, all the guests had arrived. Leland treated everyone to Qdoba (they have a pretty good catering menu if you're ever in need of feeding a large crowd) and I made the desserts! Dolly and the girls came back to our house by 6:30 and the party began! She was very surprised and it was great to see her reaction! We had a great night eating and playing Mafia and thankfully no fights broke out between Mitchell and one of the Rebers:) Of course when all the guests left, Kim made me laugh even more at her random pictures she was taking with Teecy's camera. Roy enjoyed having them all stay with us too, and I think he's finally starting to get their sense of humor.
Sunday Kim and Teecy accompanied us to church and I allowed them the pleasure of picking up Caroline from the nursery. I didn't see or hear it, but apparently two thirty-year-olds couldn't handle the task. Roy said when he was walking down the pre-school hallway, he heard a small child screaming and he though "oh, those poor parents". Then he saw his own daughter doing the screaming! Kim was running after Caroline and trying to calm her down while Teecy was looking the other way! Maybe Teecy can explain what happend on her blog. I think it's hilarious!
It was a fun, but tiring, weekend!
The birthday girl with her peanut butter/chocolate cake!
Here they are...Kim and Teecy
The motto of the weekend was "girls, girls, girls, girls" and Caroline loved saying it, too!

Good Post Donna! The competition is tight! I LOVE that picture of me with my cheeks all puffed out. Looks like I just had my wisdom teeth taken out. It's funny to slowly start seeing the updates happen on the blogs. Amy needs to get going.
great post from the hostess with the mostest!!! thanks again for a great time at your house. hope you're resting up from the weekend.
Whoa, Don Don...talk about Computer Savvy! Way to get fancy linking our names to our blogs. How do you do that? Do tell! B-E-A-utiful post. I'm liking what I'm seeing! Love, Hannie
Hannah, it is simple as pie. When you type someone's name, highlight it and click that little button with the globe on it and type in the link. I don't know how I come up with all of this stuff. I guess I'm just smart like that.
hannah, i'm glad you spelled savvy with two V's not two A's. kim and i had a fight about it earlier and i told it was spelled with two V's but she didn't believe me. canadians!
Actually, I have seen it spelled with two a's. Maybe it's the french way, and you know Kim.....she's always trying to act like she knows how to speak French.
You look so cute Donna in your yellow dress! It looks like you all had a great weekend celebrating Dolly's birthday. Please tell her happy birthday for me!
